Meet Emilio
I started in Brazil. Picked up a camera in 1999 and never put it down. Built my career photographing weddings and events in California, Portugal, and across Europe. Fell in love with Portugal and never left.
Over two decades and around 500 weddings later, I still believe that a single photograph can hold an entire lifetime of feeling. I come early. I stay late. I notice the things nobody else does. And I will make sure your wedding day lives forever — not just in your memory, but on your walls, and your children’s walls after that.
I grew up in Brazil falling in love with light — the way it hits a face at golden hour, the way it turns an ordinary moment into something you never want to forget. Photography found me before I even understood what it was.
I spent years shooting weddings across California — learning every venue, every lighting condition, every nervous groom and every bride who forgot to breathe. Then Portugal called. The light here is different. Softer. More honest. I arrived for a wedding in the Douro Valley and never seriously considered leaving.
Five hundred weddings. Twenty-five years. And I still get butterflies before I pick up my camera.

I am a huge fan of couples intensely in love, who care most of all about the experience of their wedding day and spending it with family and friends.
I do not merely show up and shoot. I arrive as your partner — someone who has already studied your venue, your light, your timeline — so that on the day itself, you never have to think about photography at all. You just live it. I handle the rest.
